Chapter 10 - Dinner Date Part 1

"Tonight's the night," I whispered to myself as I stood in front of my mirror, steeling my nerves. I slowly unzipped the garment bag, revealing the white dress I had bought with Megha.

I carefully removed my casual clothes, folding them neatly on a chair. I stepped into the white dress, pulling it up over my curves. I fastened the small buttons on the back, taking a deep breath as the dress settled on my frame. I turned to face her reflection.

Suddenly someone knocked at my door. My head snapped towards the door at the sudden knock. I smoothed down my dress and walked over, opening it to reveal Megha standing there with a wide grin.

Megha's eyes widened as she took in Niranya's appearance, her jaw practically dropping. "Wow, Niru! You look absolutely breathtaking!" She stepped inside, admiring the dress from all angles. "Ashtram is going to be completely blown away."

I blushed at the compliment, twirling around to show off the dress. "Thank you, Megha! I can hardly believe it myself. Do you think I should wear my hair up or down?"

Megha tilted her head to the side, studying Niranya's face. "Definitely down. Your hair looks so beautiful when it's loose. It'll cascade down your back perfectly with this dress." She reached out to gently touch my hair.

I nodded, sitting down on the bed as Megha began to brush out my hair. The gentle strokes were soothing, and I felt myself relaxing in Megha's presence. "You know, I'm really nervous about tonight. What if Ashtram doesn't like the dress?"

Setting down the brush, Megha turned Niranya to face her, her expression serious but gentle. "Listen to me. Any man who doesn't appreciate how stunning you look in this dress would have to be blind. And honestly, if Ashtram doesn't notice, someone else certainly will." Continuing to fuss with my hair, Megha added with a soft chuckle: "And besides, have you seen how he looks at you? Like you're the only star in his universe. Trust me, he's going to love it." She gave a playful wink.

I let out a breathless laugh, her heart fluttering at the thought of Ashtram's reaction. "You really think so? I just want tonight to be perfect." I stood up and turned to the mirror, admiring the way the dress hugged my curves.

Megha came to stand beside me, our reflections smiling back at us. "It will be perfect, because you'll be there. And because you're wearing that dress like a work of art."

Than suddenly a message notification pop up in my phone. My eyes flicked to my phone. As I walked over to the bed and picked up my phone, my heart pounded with anticipation. I unlocked the screen and saw Ashtram's name at the top of my messages.

I opened the message to reveal a simple yet heartwarming text from Ashtram: "I can't wait to see you tonight, My Angel. You already make my heart race. I am waiting outside."

My face broke into a wide smile as I read the message, my fingers hovering over the keyboard to type a response. I quickly typed out "I'm coming" and hit send.

As I rushed to grab my heels, Megha called out "You're blushing more than the message deserves! He's going to swoon when he sees you!" Niranya rolled her eyes, trying to play it cool despite the butterflies in her stomach.

I threw my arms around Megha in a tight hug, squeezing my best friend close. "Thank you for everything, Megha. Your friendship means the world to me." I pulled back, eyes sparkling with emotion and excitement."I'll see you later.

With a final wave to Megha, I slipped into my heels and grabbed my clutch, my heart fluttering with each step. As I descended, I saw Ashtram waiting for me leaning against the car.

Ashtram is wearing white shirt with black pant. His white shirt perfectly accentuated his broad shoulders and muscular arms, while his black pants highlighted his legs. His dark hair was styled casually, falling slightly over his forehead.

I stood tall and composed, leaning against the sleek black metal of My luxury car. My eyes never left the entrance of the house , waiting patiently for the moment I knew would make my evening.

And there she was " My Rain Angel ", my heart's desire, stepping out into the cool evening air. The white dress she wore seemed to shimmer in the twilight, hugging her curves in all the right places. I pushed off from the car, a soft smile spreading across My face as I watched her.

She felt my eyes on her as she walked towards me, my intense gaze making her pulse quicken. She took a deep breath, a shy smile playing at the corners of her lips. As she reached me, she couldn't help but tease lightly, "You're early."

My smile grew wider at the sound of her voice, the teasing lilt sending a warm feeling through my chest. I stepped closer, my hand reaching out to gently take the to-go bag from her hands, setting it aside for now. My eyes roamed over her, taking in every detail of her appearance.

She bit her lip, feeling a little self-conscious under my intense scrutiny. She looked up at me, a question in her eyes. "Is everything okay?"

My gaze softened. I gently cupped her face with one hand, my thumb lightly brushing her cheek. "Everything is perfect now that you're here," I assured her, my voice a low, tender rumble.

Her breath caught at my gentle touch, my heart beating a little faster. She leaned into my hand briefly before stepping back, a slight blush staining her cheeks.

I allowed my hand to fall away reluctantly, smiling at her blush. The way she responded to my touch never failed to stir something within me - part desire, part protectiveness. I retrieved the bag I did set aside earlier. I watched her with an expectant look, holding the passenger door open and gesturing inside. My eyes flickered to her lips briefly before meeting her gaze again, a silent invitation. Once she was settled, I closed the door and made my way to the driver's side, sliding in beside her.

As I started the engine, I turned to face My Rain Angel, my expression softening with admiration. "My Angel, your beauty outshines anything I've ever seen at the most extravagant galas. Just like the star that guides lost ships, you illuminate every dark corner in my world."

My Angel's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink at the poetic compliment. She looked away, trying to hide her smile. Noticing her bashful reaction, My lips curled into an amused smirk. I reached over and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, allowing my fingers to linger just a moment longer than necessary. "you look cute when you blush like that My Angel."

She couldn't help but let out a soft laugh to cover her nerves. "Stop it, you're being too smooth," she said, but her eyes betrayed her, showing how much she loved hearing these sweet words from me.

As I pulled out onto the road, I kept one hand on the wheel and used the other to take hers, intertwining our fingers. "Can't help it when I'm with you, Angel."

My Angel's grip tightened around my hand as she looked out the window, trying to act nonchalant. She turned to face me and asked softly , "Where are we going anyway?"

My eyes crinkled at the corners as I maintained My mysterious smile, "You'll see, Angel. It's a surprise." I waggled our entwined hands gently, encouraging her to look out the window instead of trying to extract more information from me.

After half an hour of driving we arrived at the secluded beach, I parked the car and turned to her with an excited glint in my eyes. I unbuckled my seatbelt and leaned over to open her door, my voice low and thrilling. "Close your eyes, My Angel."

She giggled, closing her eyes obediently. She could feel the saltwater breeze on her face as I helped her out of the car. "You're making this too mysterious," she says.

A playful chuckle escaped my lips as I carefully guided her forward. "And you're ruining the surprise." I led her carefully across the sand, one hand firm and guiding at her lower back while the other held her hand reassuringly. "Just a little further now... trust me."

He stopped and gently squeezed her hand, a smile tugging at his lips. "Okay, My Angel. Open your eyes now." His tone was soft, tinged with a note of excitement at what awaited her. "Welcome to our dinner date."

As she opened her eyes, she gasped in awe. A beautifully set table for two stood under the starlit sky, near the shore. The table was adorned with candles, flowers, and wine chilling in an ice bucket. "Ash"

His smile widened at her stunned expression, a surge of pride filling him at successfully pulling off this surprise. He guided her towards the table, his hand still resting lightly on her back. "I wanted tonight to be unforgettable," he murmured, pulling out her chair like a gentleman.

She looked at him with pure adoration, her heart full of love. "It already is," she whispered, as he sat down across from her.

As they settled into their seats, Ashtram reached out to pour himself a glass of wine and poured her a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice instead, as she didn't drink. As he handed it to her, their fingers brushed against each other, and he felt a spark of affection. "Here you go, My Angel."

As she took the glass of orange juice from him, she couldn't help but ask curiously, "How do you always remember the smallest details, Ash? Like how I don't drink alcohol?" She searched his eyes for answers, her mind boggled by his keen observation skills.

He looked at her with a tender gaze, his thumb caressing the back of her hand gently. "Because every little thing about you is important to me, Angel," he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "I pay attention to your details because they help me to cherish you more."

Her heart skipped a beat at his sweet words, and she felt her face flush once again. No one had ever paid such close attention to her, making her feel both seen and cherished.

As they clinked glasses - his wine against her orange juice - Ashtram couldn't help but notice the gentle blush spreading across her cheeks. He loved seeing her react this way to his words, it made him feel content and loved in return.

After the first course, Ashtram stood up and extended his hand towards her with a charming smile. "May I have this dance, My Angel?" He asked softly, his eyes sparkling with affection under the starlit sky. The soft sounds of instrumental music filled the air, setting a romantic atmosphere.

Her heart fluttered as she placed her hand in his, completely swept off her feet by his romantic gesture. As they stepped onto the dance floor, the music played...

(Mohabbat Ibaadat Shikaayat, Main Jisse Karoon
Woh Tum Ho, Tumhi Ho Jaane Jaan
Guzaarish Yaan Khwahish, Farmaish Main Jisse Karoon
Woh Tum Ho, Tumhi Ho Saathiya....)

Ashtram wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. He rested his head against hers, breathing in her fragrance. He swayed gently to the slow, romantic melody, his hand splayed out against her lower back.

(Chehra Tera Maange, Aankhein Meri O Jaana
Teri Justajoo Mein Katta, Har Din Mera
Jaana Ve Jaana Ve, Mohabbat Karte Rehna Re
Ho Mausam Chahe Kaisa Bhi, Hamesha Mera Rehna Re.....)

His fingers intertwined with hers against his chest, he looked down into her eyes, lost in the moment and the lyrics of the song that seemed to describe their connection perfectly.

(Khayalon Mein Maine, Tujhko Buna Tha
Haqeeqat Mein Mujhko, Tu Mil Gaya
Yehi Sochke Main, Khud Hairaan Hoon
Rab Ko Yeh Kaise, Pata Chal Gaya
Likhi Thi Muqaddar Mein, Chahat Teri O Jaana
Ke Tu Jahan Mein, Mera Ho Hi Gaya
Jaana Ve Jaana Ve, Mohabbat Karte Rehna Re
Ho Mausam Chahe Kaisa Bhi, Hamesha Mera Rehna Re....)

As they swayed to the music, Niranya rested her head on Ashtram's chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. She couldn't believe this was real - the beautiful beach, the delicious food, the romantic songs... It was like a scene straight out of a movie.

After the dance, hand in hand, they walked along the shore, the sound of waves crashing against the sand providing a soothing background. Niranya looked up at Ashtram, his profile illuminated by the moonlight, and felt a surge of love and affection.
