Chapter 12 - First Kiss

As the car rolled gently along the darkened streets, I gazed out at the illuminated cityscape, my fingers intertwined with Ashtram. A sense of tranquility washed over me, yet my heart raced with the lingering exhilaration of our magical date. As we pulled up to a red light, I turned to look at him, my eyes reflecting the passing neon signs. "Ash."

"Yes Angel?" He prompted softly, his voice barely audible over the hum of the car engine. My heart skipped a beat at the gentle way he said my nickname. I reached out, my hand covering his intertwined hands. "Can we keep the car windows open?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

His eyes softened with understanding and tenderness. Without breaking our gaze, Ashtram reached out with his free hand and rolled down both the windows simultaneously. The night air rushed in, carrying with it the distant sounds of the city and the faint scent of flowers from a nearby garden. "Of course, my Angel."

I smiled, feeling the cool breeze sweep through my hair as I leaned my head against the window. The city lights twinkled like stars as I gazed out, my heart full to bursting. "It's perfect," I murmured, my voice drifting on the wind. "Just like everything tonight." Smiling gently, he stole a quick glance at my silhouette against the cityscape and said "but the most perfect thing that happened tonight is you, my Angel."

My entire being seemed to illuminate at his words, a warmth spreading through me like sunshine on a spring morning. He looked at me, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he asked, "You know what sounds really good right now?"

Curiosity sparkled in my eyes as I gazed back at him, the city lights dancing playfully across my features. "What?" I asked softly. His eyes flickered to the roadside ice cream stall, the colorful sign glowing under the streetlights. He turned to me, feigning casualness, "Do you feel like having ice cream?" I followed his gaze to the ice cream stall, a playful smile tugging at my lips. "Ice cream?"

He nodded, his own smile mirroring mine, "Mhm. We could pull over, grab a couple of cones. It's a beautiful night for a sweet treat, don't you think?" His voice was warm and inviting, his eyes never leaving mine. My heart fluttered at the idea, the thought of sharing a sweet moment like this with him sending a shiver of delight through me. "That sounds wonderful," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "Let's do it."

He pulled the car over to the side of the road, putting on the hazard lights before getting out. He returned a few minutes later, two ice cream cones in hand - one vanilla for me, one chocolate for himself. He opened my door, holding out my cone. "Here you go."

I took the cone from him, the cold sweetness of the ice cream a delightful contrast to the warm evening air. I settled back into my seat, the ice cream cone held carefully in my hand as I watched him get back behind the wheel. "Thank you, but how do you know that I like vanilla flavour?"

He smiled softly and said,"Because, my love, I know you so well. Every little detail, every preference, every smile and every laugh... it's all etched into my memory. Vanilla is your favorite, and chocolate is mine."

My eyes crinkled at the corners as I smiled, a warmth spreading through my chest at the realization that he noticed me so much. I took a lick of her vanilla ice cream, savoring the familiar sweetness. He reached over, his fingers brushing against mine as he gently took the cone from my hand. He held it on his own, taking a lick of my vanilla ice cream before offering me his own chocolate cone. "Trade you?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement and affection.

I giggled, accepting the trade and taking a lick of his chocolate ice cream. The cool, rich flavor was a nice change from her usual vanilla. I looked at him, her heart fluttering in her chest. "You know, I am wondering how you know all of these little things about me." He glanced at me from the corner of his eye, a soft, thoughtful expression crossing his features "You're worth knowing, every single detail."

My heart skipped a beat at his words, a warm, fuzzy feeling spreading through my chest. As he drove, he reached over and took my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. His thumb traced soothing patterns on the back of my hand as he kept his eyes on the road. The silence was comfortable, filled with the soft sounds of the evening and the gentle hum of the car engine. I looked down at our intertwined hands, a small smile on my lips. My face lit up with excitement as the rain suddenly started pouring, I turned to him with wide eyes. "Stop the car! Please!" i said, practically bouncing in my seat.

"Stop the car! Please!" She said, practically bouncing in her seat. Which makes me worried. Without hesitation, I hit the brakes, bringing the car to a controlled stop on the bridge's shoulder. The rain poured down in sheets, drumming loudly against the roof of the car as I turned to her, concerned etching lines on my face. "What's wrong? Are you alright?"

She didn't answer, instead she threw open the car door and stepped out into the pouring rain. She spread her arms wide, tilting her face up to catch the cold drops on her skin. She laughed, the sound muffled by the heavy rain, her hair getting soaked within seconds. I couldn't help but chuckle at her unexpected moment of spontaneity, though I knew I should be concerned.

I stepped out of the car, closing the door behind me. My own hair and clothes quickly become drenched in the downpour. I watched her with a soft smile, my heart swelling with affection and a hint of amusement at her carefree nature. Slowly approaching her from behind, I gently wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her back against my chest. I rested my chin atop of her head, inhaling the scent of her rain-soaked hair.

Her heartbeat quickened as she felt my arms envelop her, my chest a solid warmth against her back. With the rain cascading around us and my tender arms encompassing her from behind.

I leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her neck, My lips cold from the rain but warm with affection. She shivered as my cold, rain-kissed lips touched her neck. She turned her head slightly to give me better access, her breath catching in her throat as she felt my arms tighten around her waist. I trailed gentle kisses along her exposed skin, my fingers tracing soothing patterns on her waist. Her breath hitched with each gentle press of his lips against her skin, the rain mingling with her racing heartbeat.

Drawing back just slightly, I turned her in my arms to face me. The rain continued to pour around us as I cupped her face tenderly, My thumbs wiping away the droplets that clung to her cheeks.

My Rain Angel, looked up at me, her eyes shining with a soft, adoring light. She reached up to rest her hands on my wrists, feeling the warmth of my skin even through the cold rain. She leaned into my touch.

With a playful grin, I lifted her effortlessly into my arms, cradling her against my chest as I spun her slowly in the rain. The world blurred around us. She buried her face in my neck, inhaling the familiar scent of me as the rain soaked us both.

Setting her gently back onto her feet, I pulled her close, one hand cupping her cheek tenderly as the other settled at the small of her back. She stood on her tiptoes, wanting to be even closer to me, her arms winding around my waist. "Ash" she whispered.

I lowered my head, my forehead resting against hers as I looked into her eyes, the rain continuing to pour around us like a waterfall. "Shh," my lips curled into a tender smile as I gazed into her eyes. With the utmost gentleness, I brushed the tip of my nose against hers, reveling in the intimate closeness we shared amidst the downpour.

Our faces were so close that we could feel each other's warm breath, our noses touching softly. My heart raced with affection for her, my hands tightening slightly around her waist as I held her close. "Angel," I murmured, my voice barely audible over the sound of the rain. A soft sigh escaping her lips as she leaned into me.

My lips hovering mere inches from hers, the heat of my breath mingling with the cool mist surrounding us. My blue eyes searched hers intently, filled with unspoken questions and a silent plea. I raised my eyebrows slightly, asking permission without uttering a word, my eyes locked onto hers, waiting for her to close the gap between our lips or look away.

She slowly closed her eyes, leaning in, pressing her lips gently against mine in a soft, hesitant kiss amidst the pouring rain. I closed my eyes, savoring the sensation of her lips against my own, the taste of rain mingling with the sweetness of her mouth.

I kissed her back gently, matching her hesitant pace, my lips moving slowly against hers as if they were dancing in the rain. I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss slightly as I felt her trying to match my rhythm.

I gently nipped her lower lip, pulling away slightly to allow her to catch her breath, a satisfied smirk tugging at my lips as I saw her tap my shoulder, signaling that she needed a moment to breathe. I murmured against her swollen lips," You're so... captivating."

My Rain Angel, eyes fluttered open, her gaze meeting mine as she smiled softly, her fingers tracing gentle patterns on my chest. She leaned back slightly, looking up at me through the curtain of raindrops, her lips still slightly parted from the kiss.

I pressed a soft, gentle kiss to her forehead, my breath warm against her skin as I spoke in a whisper. "My cute Rain Angel." I tucked a strand of wet hair behind her ear, my fingers lingering on her skin.

Her cheeks are flushing a soft pink. She smiled, feeling safe and cherished in my arms. Her eyes closing as she savored the warmth of my fingers against her skin. "My handsome Storm Chaser."

I murmured, my voice soft and tender as I pulled her closer, pressing another gentle kiss to her temple. "You stole my heart in this storm, my Rain Angel."

I lifted her effortlessly into my arms, cradling her close to my chest as I made my way towards the car, the rain still pouring around us. I opened the passenger door and gently placed her inside, then hurried to the driver's side, getting in beside her.
