Chapter 15 - Unexpected Visitor

The sudden sound of the door opening breaks the moment, and both Niranya and Ashtram turn to look at the intruder with shock and surprise.

Vedant stands in the doorway, his eyes wide with shock as he takes in the scene before him. His mouth hangs open, and for a moment, he seems at a loss for words. He says, "Hey Bhagawan, yai office toh ab sankat mai hai."

Ashtram expression shifts from shock to amused irritation as he addresses his friend. "Ved" he says, his tone carrying a mix of warning and exasperation. "What are you doing bursting in here like this?" Niranya quickly stands up from Ashtram lap out of shyness.

Ashtram quickly stands up as well, his arms dropping from around Niranya's waist as he turns to face Vedant. He runs a hand through his hair, trying to compose himself.

Niranya says, "I will come back later." Still flushed with embarrassment as she hurries out of the room, closing the door softly behind her.

Ashtram turns back to Vedant, his expression stern. "Explain." Vedant sits down, rubbing the back of his neck as he looks at Ashtram with a sheepish expression. "Look, I'm sorry, okay?" he says. "But seriously yaar cabin toh rhene do bro koi private jagah pai apna romance kro."

Ashtram rolls his eyes and slumps back in his chair, running a hand over his face. "Shut up, Ved," he says, his voice laced with frustration and a hint of amusement.

Vedant stands up, holding up his hands in surrender. "Fine, fine. I'll leave it alone," he says. "But hey, speaking of unexpected visitor, Abhay's sister Mariya is here to see you," he adds, raising an eyebrow. "She's waiting in the lobby."

Ashtram's expression hardens, a flicker of annoyance crossing his features at the mention of Abhay Raichand's sister, as Abhay is his rival. He leans forward, resting his elbows on the desk as he fixes Vedant with a stern look.

"Send her in," Ashtram commands, his tone leaving no room for argument. Vedant nods and exits the room, leaving Ashtram to collect his thoughts and prepare himself for the unexpected visitor.

I remains seated, my posture rigid and formal as I watches Mariya enter with a smirk. Mariya says, "Hello Ashtram." I doesn't return her greeting immediately, maintaining my composed demeanor. "What are you doing here?"

Mariya leans in, resting her elbows on its polished surface, her eyes locked with mine. "I thought I'd pay a little visit to my brother's favorite rival." she chuckles, a sound devoid of warmth.

My eyes flicker with unspoken words, his expression remaining unreadable. I sits forward, mirroring her leaning position. "And what makes you think I'd welcome your presence?" I asks, his tone sharp and cutting.

Mariya's smile never falters, her gaze never leaving my face. "Oh, I'm sure Abhay would be delighted to know his little sister is paying a visit to his rival." She pauses, leaning back slightly.

My eyes narrow at the mention of Abhay. I know she's playing a game, trying to get under my skin. I won't give her the satisfaction of a reaction. "I highly doubt your brother would approve of you being here," I states, my voice calm but firm.

she walk towards me. Lean close to me, her voice dropping to a sultry whisper. "In fact, I think we could be... useful to each other." Her hand reaches out, touching my chest. "I've always found you... intriguing, Ashtram. So strong, so powerful."

My jaw clenches, irritation flashing in his eyes as Mariya touches me so boldly. My hand shoots out, gripping her throat painfully, a warning rather than aggression. "Don't. Touch."

She ignores the warning, leaning in closer, her breath fanning across my face. "You always were so cold, so untouchable." Her free hand reaches up to my face. Tell me, Ashtram, are you really as cold as you seem?

I rises abruptly from my chair, moving with lightning speed to pin Mariya against the wall. My fingers tighten around her throat as I glare into her eyes, my breathing heavy with barely contained anger. "You dare?" I growl, the vein in my forehead pulsing visibly.

My eyes darken, my grip on Mariya's throat becoming painful as I warn again, "I said do not touch." I can feel her pulse racing beneath my fingers, a testament to my strength and her foolishness for ignoring my warnings.

Trying to focus on my work despite the distracting thoughts of Ashtram and our interrupted moment. I clicks away at my laptop, my fingers flying over the keyboard as I tries to lose myself in my tasks.

Suddenly Megha swoops into my cubicle, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and unspent energy. "Niru!" she exclaims, plopping down in the chair next to my desk. "Spill the tea."

I jumps slightly, caught off guard by Megha's sudden appearance. I blinks, pulling my focus away from the laptop screen. "What do you mean,'spill the tea'?" I asks, raising an eyebrow at my best friend's dramatic entrance.

Megha leans in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a whisper "Oh come on, Niru. The way you rushed out of Ashtram sir's cabin earlier... was something happened between you two?" She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively, clearly dying to know the details.

I feels my cheeks flush at Megha's question, but I tries to maintain a neutral expression. "It's just work, Megha," I says, turning back to my laptop to avoid my friend's probing gaze. "We were going over some project details, that's all."

Megha rolls her eyes dramatically, not buying my nonchalant act for a second  "Project details?" she says, her voice dripping with skepticism "You can't fool me, Niru." But I glare at her sharply, so she pout and stop her questions.

Megha says, I have seen one girl going inside his cabin. My eyes snap up from my laptop at Megha's words, my heart suddenly racing. "What do you mean, a girl went into Ashtram's cabin?" she asks, trying to keep her voice steady despite the sudden surge of jealousy and concern.

"Oh, she was gorgeous, Niru. Long, wavy hair, big doe eyes, and a figure that would make any man drool." Megha says. My mind starts racing with thoughts. Who is this girl? Does Ashtram like her? I has to know more. "Was she...was she has any connection with him?"

I stands up abruptly. I feels a sudden urge to go and confront this mystery girl and Ashtram. "I need to go check on something," I mutters, grabbing my own phone and quickly walk towards his cabin.

I reaches Ashtram's cabin, my heart pounding in my ears. I takes a deep breath and open the door as Ashtram had already told me earlier to come to his cabin whenever I want.

I freezes in the doorway, shock and horror etched across my face as I takes in the scene before me. Ashtram's normally calm demeanor is shattered, replaced by a terrifying fury as he griping the girl's throat painfully against the wall.

With a trembling voice, I calls out "Ash.." My eyes are wide with fear and concern, not just for the girl, but for him too.

I immediately releases Mariya at the sound of my angel's trembling voice, turning to face her with concern etched across my features. Her presence always has the power to tame the beast within me. I quickly schools my expression, hiding the brutality that was visible a moment ago. I turns to face my Angel, trying to act nonchalant. "What are you doing here?"

Her voice shaking slightly, "I was actually going to ask you the same thing. But now..." she trails off, her eyes flicking between the scared Mariya and me still tense muscles "Who is she?" She steps closer.

Mariya, still gasping for breath, glares at my angel with hatred in her eyes. "None of your business, you stupid bitch!" she spits out, her voice hoarse from being choked. "

My gaze snaps back to Mariya, a warning growl rumbling in my chest at her disrespectful tone towards my angel. I steps closer to Mariya, my tall frame looming over her. "Watch your mouth," I snaps, my voice low and dangerous. "Say one more disrespectful word to her, and I'll make your disappearance seem like an accident. No one will find your body."

I straightens up, maintaining my menacing presence. "Get out. Now. And don't you dare come near me again, or speak to my angel in that tone." My voice is a dangerous whisper that carries the weight of my dark power. "Consider this your final warning."

I watches Mariya storm out, a satisfied smirk playing on my lips briefly before I turn my attention fully to my Angel, my expression softening dramatically. I approaches her gently, clasping her trembling hands in mine. "Are you alright Jaan."

She pulls her hands away from my gently, her eyes searching my face for answers rather than comfort. "Answer me, who was she?"

I sighs, running a hand through my hair before answering truthfully. "She's... a complication. She means nothing to me, Angel."

Her voice wavers, laced with worry and something deeper—something that tugs at my chest. "Ash… what were you doing to her? You were hurting her neck. That’s not…" She swallows hard, her eyes searching mine. "That’s not you."

I step closer, erasing the space between us, my fingers brushing against her trembling ones. My voice drops to a low, dangerous whisper, meant only for her. "She made the mistake of touching what is solely yours. She dared to lay claim to something that belongs to you alone." My gaze darkens, raw intensity bleeding into my words. "So, I lost control."

Without hesitation, I lift her into my arms, cradling her against me as if she is the only thing keeping me grounded. I sink onto the nearest chair, holding her close, letting her warmth seep into my skin. My hands tighten around her waist, my grip both tender and possessive.

"You," I murmur, my breath ghosting over her lips, "you are the only one who has the right to touch me, to own me. The only voice that matters. You are the calm in my chaos, the light that keeps the darkness at bay." My forehead rests against hers, my heart pounding in sync with hers. "You are my everything, my jaan. And I will burn this world to the ground before I let anyone take you from me."

She buries her face in my chest, inhaling my scent to calm her racing heart. I hold her close, my heart beating steadily against her ear. I strokes her hair gently. As I soothe her, my mind whispers a silent promise to myself - I will never let anyone or anything come between me and my Angel.

After a few moments, she looks up at me, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "I was so scared, Ash. When I saw you holding her throat like that... I thought you were going to hurt her. And then I thought you were going to scold me too, for interrupting."

I cups her face gently, my thumb brushing away a falling tear. "My angel." My voice softens even further, becoming almost vulnerable. "You are my heart. My life. Jaan. I would rather die than lay a single finger on you in anger. Do you understand?"

She nods and I presses a tender kiss to her forehead, my touch feather-light. I rains gentle kisses on her cheeks, her eyes, my lips lingering on each spot as if worshipping her face. My touch is reverent, loving, a stark contrast to the violence I had just displayed.
